| GAME SUMMARY: After spotting the Cougars 5 runs in the first inning, the Red Raiders did their own scratching and clawing and managed to squeak out an 8-7 win on a beautiful day at Coatesville. After a tough first inning, Raider hurler, Mark Milewski settled down and retired 8 Cougars in a row. Zach Mains and Brian Greer provided no-hit relief in the final three innings to pick up the Win and Save, respectively. | GAME SUMMARY: The Golden Knights stunned the Red Raiders 4-3 in a Ches-Mont contest. The Rustin pitchers had the Coatesville hitters baffled most of the game. However, the Red Raiders were able to plate 2 runs in the top of the 7th, and left the tying run on 3rd at the end of the game. Both Zach White and Jesse McKim had excellent performances on the mound. McKim came in the game in relief and struck out 7 out of the 9 batters he faced and giving up a fly ball that turned into a double play to get the Raiders out of a jam in the 4th inning. | GAME SUMMARY: After being involved in 3 one-run games in a row, this game was decidedly different as the Whippets handed the Red Raiders their 3rd straight loss, 11-2. Things started out poorly for the Raiders as West grabbed a 4-0 lead in the first inning, but things didn't end much better as the Whippets 7 more runs in the 5th and 6th inning. The offensive highlight for Coatesville, was Kenny Byerly cracking a solo home run, his second of the year, in the top of the third. Brian Greer singled in the 4th, Cody Jackson doubled him to third and he scored on a safety squeeze by Zach Mains, but that was all the scoring that Coatesville could muster. Brian Greer did a commendable job pitching in middle relief. (8-5)(8-4 Ches-Mont). |
