"BRANDON"
His name is Brandon,
And he loved to play ball.
This fine young man,
Always gave it his all!
Baseball is his #1 love,
Always had his bat and carried his glove.
Ready to play at the drop of a hat,
All he wanted was to get "an at bat."
Too many a pitch did hit him,
Not a sign of anger, only a grin.
Practice everyday not feeling his best,
If only his dedication would rub off on the rest.
Two years of fighting and never lost his wit,
In his vocabulary there was no word as "quit."
Losing you makes us all very sad,
But a player like you makes God oh so glad!
So God took you high in his draft,
Because of your dedication and special craft.
Brandon, please look over we who remain,
And for your family we will do the same.
So rest in peace in heaven above,
And take along your bat and glove.
For one day you'll see all our faces,
When we rejoin you to run the bases.
